Let's Get Tipsy

I swear that I didn't have a drink until after I created this card. :)

I've had so much fun creating with the new Martini and Margarita Shaker Pouches, that I couldn't resist creating one more. The martini glass was die-cut on Brushed Silver card stock and it was filled with a few colors of jewels. I created a bokeh background using the new Basic Shapes Circle Stencil.

When I create with the shaker pouches I tend to use a lot of 1/8" tape. I use either the 1/8" Scor-Tape or the 1/8" Extreme Double Sided Tape. This tape is the perfect size for the shaker pouches. I add the tape before I add in the jewels or sequins.

When I design backgrounds I use a large piece of card stock. I like having a slightly bigger surface to work on, and then I can place my die on the spot that I like the best. It may seem like a bit of a waste of paper, but I think it is worth it to capture the best possible results. As you can see, I also tape down the paper before I sponge on the ink. This is a MUST for me!

Thank you so much for joining me again today. I hope you learned a tip or two. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the amazing creations the design team has to share with you today.

  1. I love that tip about the 1/8" tape! (I'm not really anonymous but couldn't post any other way. I'm Liz J!)
