You Make My Life Better

It's time for another color challenge, and this week we have a fun combination for you, Cornflower, Blu Raspberry, Coral Crush, and Lemon Chiffon. I decided to create a blended background using all four colors. I don't love the transition between the Blu Raspberry and Coral Crush, but I like the way the rest of the colors came together.

I die-cut the card stock with the Split Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics. The sentiment was created with the You Trio Die-namics and the All About You stamp set.

Ready? Set. Comment!

I had way too much fun creating my projects that I am sharing today. One of my favorite things to create is small gift type items. I love being able to give little treats like this. I created a set of small coffee cups in a caddy, with coordinating hot chocolate pouches. The coffee cups are the perfect size to fill with chocolates or other treats.

The coffee cups are tiny, they are 4oz cups. Each cup was wrapped in a piece of patterned paper. I added a snowflake from the Layered Snowflakes Die-namics to the top of each cup. I used an old template that I had to create the caddy for the cups. A larger snowflake was used on the front of each caddy. The sentiments are from the Snow Globe Sentiments stamp set.

The hot chocolate holders were incredibly easy to make. I used the same card stock and patterned papers that I had used on the coffee caddies. I wrapped each one with a piece of ribbon that I hoped would help to secure the sides. I also ended up adding the brads to help to keep the sides adhered.

For the three sets, I used three colors of card stock, Berrylicious, Red Hot, and Sour Apple. This really is one of my favourite colour combinations for Christmas.

The snowflakes were all die-cut in Smooth White card stock. Inside each snowflake I added a touch of glitter with the Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Thank you so much for joining me all week. I hope we have inspired you to create something amazing! Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the fantastic creations the design team has created to share with you. Don't forget to comment for your chance to win a gift voucher.

Mesmerizing Mandala

Are you ready for another fabulous release? We are only five days away from the big day! All the new Stamps and Die-namics will be available on Tuesday, November 7 at 9:00 pm EDT. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the new items being revealed today. Don't forget to leave a comment on the MFT Blog countdown posts, YOU could win one of the five $75.00 gift vouchers.

I have a couple of cards to share with you today, they both feature the amazing Mesmerizing Mandala Die-namics. There are so many fun things that you can do with this die. For my two cards today, I paired the mandala die with a few of my favorite Ranger Alcohol Inks. I created the backgrounds using a few colours of Alcohol ink and Blending Solution on Glossy card stock.

I die-cut the mandala in Brushed Silver card stock. I love this card stock as it is not super shiny, it is more subtle than some of our other silver card stock. The sentiments were die-cut in Black Licorice and Brushed Silver card stock. I slightly offset the black card stock on top of the silver.  I love the subtle shadow effect this creates.
