I hope you have throughly enjoyed the release countdown this past week. I have another fun holiday project to share with you today. It features the fabulous
Poinsettia Die-namics.
To create the wreath I wrapped a wreath cardboard frame in burlap. To secure the burlap I used a hot glue gun, I use the glue every fourth or fifth time I wrap the wreath to keep the burlap secure. I only use the glue on the back side of the wreath, which keeps the fron looking good.
I die-cut the
poinsettias in
Electric Red and
Whip Cream felt. I tend to cut two to three of the large poinsettias, and two of the smaller ones to make one large poinsettia. This will give you a nice full flower. For the smaller poinsettias, I usually die-cut two or three. I adhere the flowers together with hot glue. For the centers I used
Gold Sparkle card stock. I tried to cut felt for the centers, but the dies are just too small and the card stock seemed to hold up better. The leaves were die-cut in
Jellybean Green Felt.

For the banner I used the
Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner Die-namics and the
Stitched Alphabet Die-namics. I cut two full sets of the banners, on one set I back the card stock with
adhesive before I die-cut them. I adhere the letters to the front of one set of the banners. I then lay the pieces out with the letters facing down. I pull off the adhesive backing and place the
Hemp Cord along the top of the banners. I then add the second banner on top of each piece and adhere them together. Doing it this way provides a nice strong base for the banners and it holds the cord securely.
Thank you so much for joining me again today. I hope you learned a tip or two. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the amazing creations the design team has to share with you today.
