Sending You Strength

We have a simple sketch challenge for you this week. I decided to ink up one of my all time favourite floral stamp sets, Flashy Florals. The flowers were inked up in Ripe Raspberry, Pure Plum, Tickled Pink, and Cotton Candy Premium Dye Ink. The leaves were stamped in Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink.

Happy Birthday

We've got a fun theme for this month's Hits & Highlights theme this month. We are highlighting the fabulous collection of word frames. While these frames work well for shaker cards, I decided to use the Happy Birthday Circle Frame to frame a few cute little chicks. I coloured the frame and the chicks with Copics and finished off the card with a strip of patterened paper.

Hey Birthday Girl!

We've got a new color challenge for you today and it is a gorgeous one! I inked up the newest Pure Innocence set, Birthday Girl. As a girl who loves to shop, I love this image! I stamped the image on X-Press It card stock and coloured it with Copics. I used the amazing Black & White Stripes patterned paper and the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics to create the frame.

You Make Me Crazy Happy

It's time for another sketch challenge, I inked up a gorgeous Magical Mandala with some of my favourite Distress Inks. I used a sentiment from the Essential Sentiments stamp set. Have I ever mentioned how much I love this set?

Stitched with Love - Saint Patrick's Day Edition

We are back with another edition of Stitched with Love, this month it's all about Saint Patrick's Day. I have a stash of holiday-themed pencils, so I grabbed a few of the Saint Patrick's Day ones for this project. For the design of the tags, I used the new cross-stitch patterns that are available in the printable resources section and the fabulous Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics.

I finished off the tags with some Black & White Stripes patterned paper and some black and white ribbon. I had wanted to use green ribbon, but I just didn't have anything that matched the green on the pencils

Happy Birthday

It's time for another Birthday Project challenge. This month's challenge is all about balloons. While we have a ton of balloon stamps and Die-namics, I decided to stitch a few for my card. I used our handy templates to sketch out the balloons before I started stitching.

I was really excited to find that Blueprints 32 has a frame die that fits perfectly over the grid on Cross-Stitch Tag. I trimmed off the top of the tag and framed the image with the Blueprints frame.

I Love Spending Time with You

My Favorite Things is partnering up with Chibi-tronics to share some fun projects. I'm so excited to be playing with Chibilights again, they can turn your simple card into a WOW card. If you haven't tried them yet, you need to! Be sure to check out MFT Blog for your opportunity to win a Chibilights Starter Kit.

For my card today, I used a couple of sweet winter sets, You Make My Heart Spin and You Make My Heart Melt. The images were all colored with Copics. I added a touch of glitter to the snow on the roof. I used a few of my favourite Distress Inks to create the night sky.

I did a simple circuit for this card, I placed the light behind the window.  I fussy cut out the window and added a piece of printer paper behind it. I had stamped the image on the printer paper and coloured the window in yellow.

Magical Mandala

I hope you all enjoyed the release last week. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, be sure you do. All the new products can be found HERE. I have a couple of cards to share with you today, they both feature mandalas.

For my first card I used the gorgeous Magical Mandala Background. I stamped the background in Versamark Ink and embossed the image with White Embossing Powder. I covered the image with a few of my favorite Distress Inks. The sentiment is from the Twice the Thanks Die-namics. I love that pop of black on the card.

For my second card, I used the Magical Mandala Die-namics. As you can see, this die is much smaller than the background stamp. I love having the two sizes. I die-cut a sheet that I created with some green and yellow Alcohol Inks. I didn't love the way this sheet of alcohol ink tuned out, I prefer dropping the ink, and for this one, I sponged on the ink. I was going to throw the sheet away, but I thought I would try die-cutting it to see if I could salvage it. I actually really like the way it looks on this card.

You Wow My Heart

It's time for another sketch challenge. I actually have two cards to share with you today. I was playing with Alcohol Inks and went old school with this polished stone style technique. I die-cut the sheet with the Gift Box Die-namics and started to put the card together. I couldn't decide which die-cuts to use, so I created two cards.

The cards are exactly the same, I just used the negative die-cuts for one of the cards. I really can't decide which one I like better.

Hooray!

Thank you for joining me as we count down to the MFT release. We are just one day away from the big day! All the new Stamps, Die-namics, and Stencils will be available on Tuesday, February 6 at 9:00 pm EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the new items being revealed today. Don't forget to leave a comment on the MFT Blog countdown posts, YOU could win one of the five $75.00 gift vouchers.

If you are like me, you probably have all sorts of supplies hanging around that you haven't touched in awhile. I decided the other week that I was going to make an effort to start using some of the fabulous things I have tucked in drawers and gathering dust on shelves.  For my card today, I used my too often neglected Prima watercolors. I just love these, but I always forget to use them.

I brushed some of the gorgeous colours from the Prima Watercolors Confections - Tropicals collection on watercolor paper. I love the vibrabt color! Once the paper was dry, I added the fabulous Hooray Die-namics. A black frame was all that was needed to finish that card.

Thanks for joining me again today and thank you all so much for all of the sweet comments. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the amazing creations the design team has to share with you today.
