Let's Celebrate

I had way too much fun with the new color challenge. I loved the color combination so much this week, that I made three cards with it.

I used the fabulous Peek-a-Boo Polka Dots Die-namics and I die-cut sheets of Peach Bellini, Ripe Raspberry, Limelight, and Cement Gray. I had piles of colourful dots everywhere!

I used the same die to die-cut a few sheets of Smooth White card stock for the bases of the cards. I placed the colourful dots in different patterns on the Smooth White card stock.

I added a Black Licorice birthday sentiment to each of the cards.

Blessings

I had falling leaves and friendship on my mind when I created my card for this week's sketch challenge. I stamped the leaves from Geometric Greenery on a piece of Desert Strom card stock, and I embossed them in gold embossing powder.

The leaves were coloured with Zig markers. Once everything was coloured I sponged over the card stock with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I then added a layer of shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.

Filled with Joy

The fabulous Filled with Joy card kit is available now! If I were you I would order your kit as soon as possible, as it is sure to sell out quickly.

My first card today features another trio of items, this time I did a trio of shaker ornaments. The shakers were filled with crystals, jewels, and stars. I created the strings and ornament toppers with Silver Sparkle card stock. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and embossed in Silver.

For my next card, I filled the shaker with stars and crystals. The letters were die-cut in Smooth White card stock and I sponged on Broken China Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed it with Silver embossing powder.

This kit is so versatile, I just love it!

Filled with Joy Card Kit

We have such a fun kit for you this month. The Filled with Joy card kit will be available Tuesday, September 25 at 10:00 am EST.

My card today features the adorable snowman dies in the kit. I used Sour Apple, Red Hot, and Berrylicious for the scarves and accent on the hats. I added polka dots to the scarves with a white gel pen. The hats were cut from the amazing Black Velvet sheet included in the kit. I love the look and feel of this paper.

The Filled with Joy stamp set in the kit is filled with all sorts of fabulous sentiments. I stamped one of them on an Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strip.

Hello

I have a fun card to share with you today, it is based on the new sketch challege. I cut some strips in Lemon Drop, Orange Zest, and Summer Splash card stock. I placed the strips on to Ultimate Adhesive to create a pattern. I used the Simply Hello Die-namics to die-cut the hello. I used a paper trimmer to trim down the striped diagonal piece.

Reach for the Stars

We are seeing stars with this month's Hits & Highlights. I created a rainbow of stars with the Inside & Out Stitched Stars Die-namics and a handful of my favorite colours of card stock.  The sentiment was created with a stamp from Written in the Stars and a Shining Stars die-cut.

We have a clean and simple sketch for you this week. I decided to ink up the fabulous Wildflowers stamp set. I stamped the images on X-Press It card stock and coloured them with Copics. Happy Birthday

We are back with a few of our favourite friends to take another look at the release. I have a couple of cards to share with you featuring the Happy Birthday Script Die-namics.  For some strange reason, when I first saw this die, I wasn't that excited about it. I don't know what I was thinking, this die is amazing!

I created a couple of Bokeh backgrounds using Oxide Inks and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. The Happy Birthday sentiment is double stacked to give it a little more height on the card.

I added a touch of sparkle with the Silver Sparkle card stock and the Clear Round Drops.

Sweet Winter Wishes

I hope you have enjoyed all the release products and design team projects this month. I have one more to share with you today. My card features the fabulous Circle Trio Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics and the Circle Trio Shaker Pouches. This is such a fun set of products to work with. For this card, I paired them the Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics. Don't those little snowmen look cute?

To turn the circles into ornaments I used a little tab from Tag Builder Blueprints 6. I adhered Ultimate adhesive to the back of the card stock before I cut the circle frame and the top of the ornament, this makes for quick and easy assembly.

When I assembled the ornaments on the card front, I wanted the little tab to be behind the circle frame, but I didn't want to secure the tab down right away. I placed a small piece of the adhesive backing behind the tab to stop it from sticking to the card stock. This allowed me to add the twine a little later.

I made a quick and easy template that I store with the Circle Trio Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics. I use this to line up the images so I can see how they will appear in the circles.

When putting together a triple shaker like this, don't forget to treat is shaker as an individual unit. That way your sequins or glitter will stay in each of the circle pouches and they won't escape.

Thank you so much for joining me again today. I hope you learned a tip or two. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the amazing creations the design team has to share with you today.
