I tend to plan the layout of my stamped images on the MISTI. I like to use the grid lines on the MISTI to line up the images. I often stamp them on a scrap piece of paper first to see if I like the way they look together before I commit to stamping them on card stock.
My favorite thing about stamping with the MISTI is the ability to restamp an image to make sure it is crisp and clear. There is nothing worse than an image that isn't fully inked. The fabulous MISTI magnets hold your card stock in place so you can stamp multiple times. I especially love this for sentiments.
Once I had my images stamped I coloured these cuties from Cute Chemists with Copics.

Hello Julie, your card is super sweet. I love this set even though I hated Chemistry in school. I love MFT Stamps and anything Birdie Brown designs. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I so need a Misti!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, sweet card Julie, I do love these Chemists!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely remember the first time I tried the MISTI, it was magical! However, being as I am a grandma with no income of my own, what I REALLY remember was when I first saw one in action on a video. I literally PINED over it for 2 years (my husband knew more about a MISTI than my crafty friends at the time.) Two years later he surprised my with one for my birthday! I looked at it and "petted" it for a month! I called it my baby and I still refer to it as such! LOL. I L♥VE IT!
Awww! Love your sweet card and your colouring!!!

ReplyDeleteI love how you colored the boy's hair!!! And I'm a sucker for that black and white patterned paper from MFT! I too have been reliant on my MISTI ever since I got it to help me plan out my cards and create them without wasting paper. There are times when I could really use more than 1 though!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, & cute stamp set! I do love my Misti, think I'd like to have another, since I gave my mini to my mom. It makes stamping so much easier & w/ lining up sentiments, & getting a good image. I could never "fix" a mistake before. Thx for sharing your sweet card!
