I Love Books

I have another trio of bookmarks to share with you today. They were created using a set of templates that you can find in the MFT Resources Section

I stitched the first bookmark with DMC floss 307, 931, 842,  3801, 3819, and B5200. As you can see, it can be a little hard to distinguish each of the books. In the next photo, I outlined each of the books in a light brown, DMC 840. I used only one thread, instead of the normal six. Outlining images in a slightly darker color really helps them to pop.

Can you see the difference that outlining the books makes? It really doesn't take that long to do, but it makes a huge difference.

I added a topper to each of the bookmarks, I picked three colors of card stock that coordinated with the DMC floss.

I then stamped a sentiment from the Our Story stamp set to the top of each bookmark. This really is the perfect sentiment for a bookmark.

The Cross-Stitched Bookmark Die-namics includes a little rectangle reinforcement. Adding this little accent to your bookmarks adds an extra splash of color. Before I die-cut these, I add the adhesive to the back of card stock. This makes adhering them to the bookmark a breeze.

Thank you so much for joining me again today. I hope you learned a tip or two. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the amazing creations the design team has to share with you today.
