Organized Crafty Stash - Inks and Coloring Mediums

Are you ready to get organized with MFT? Like most of you, I like organizing my craft supplies almost as much as I like stamping. I just recently moved and I thoroughly enjoyed putting together my craft room. Today, the team will be sharing their organization tips for inks and coloring mediums.

This is the view of my main stamping desk. I like to keep all my inks within reach for easy access. I store all of my inks in units from Stamp-n-Storage.

I store all my MFT Premium Dye Inks, Hybrid Inks, and some miscellaneous ink pads in the Standard Ink Pad Holders with 60 slots. I love that these holders come in raw wood so you can paint them the color you want. As you can see, mine are actually two different colors right now. The first sets that I painted weren't the color that I wanted. I liked the darker Espresso color that I used on the second set. One of these days I will paint the older sets to match. :)

Each of the ink pads was labeled with my label maker for easy identification. I also store the coordinating ink refills right beside the ink pad. Our reinkers are just the right size to fit in the slot. I have a small circle of card stock on the top of each bottle. This was a tip I learned from Jodi Collins a few years ago. I love seeing that little splash of color in there.

I have two additional ink pad holders that hold my Distress Inks. The Oxide Inks are on the left, the Distress are on the right. For these ink pads I use the Petite Ink Pad Holder. These are the perfect depth for the Distress Inks.

I also store my Copics, Zig markers, and Distress markers on my desk. These are also housed in storage units from Stamp-n-Storage. I use the Marker Nook units, they have two different styles, both are shown here.

Right beside my desk, I have two trays of Alcohol Inks. I love seeing these gorgeous colors on display. These are stored in nail polish containers that I purchased on Amazon. They are the InterDesign Clarity Cosmetic Organizers, I'm in Canada, so I've linked them to the Canadian site. I'm sure you US girls can get them for cheaper than that.

Right beside my desk, I have a bookcase from Ikea. On the top two shelves, I keep some of my coloring mediums.

On the right-hand side, I store all my watercolor goodies. I keep the smaller items in a InterDesign Linus Kitchen Organizer. I use these a lot for storage so I buy them in the four pack on Amazon. I have all my Prima watercolors, Peerless watercolors, Vicki Boutin watercolors, and palettes in the bin. I also store my watercolor brushes and water cup on this shelf.

On the left-hand side I store my coloring pencils, pencil sharpener, and blending stumps.

On the other side of the room, I have a shelving unit that is full of all sorts of goodies. These cubies are a little smaller than the Ikea units. I store all sorts of things here including lots of coloring mediums. 

One of the shelves is full of Gelatos, sponges and paint brushes.

I also store my Distress paints, stains, sprays, and re-inkers here.
