Warm Wishes

Thank you for joining me as we count down to the MFT release. We are just two short days away from the big day! All the new Stamps and Die-namics will be available on Tuesday, October 3 at 9:00 pm EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the new items being revealed today. Don't forget to leave a comment on the MFT Blog countdown posts, YOU could win one of the five $75.00 gift vouchers.

I have a couple of projects to share with you today, they both feature one of my favorite products from this release, the Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics. I have enjoyed cross-stitching since I was very young, and I usually have at least one project going at any given time. I love when I can combine a couple of hobbies into one project.

I used a couple of colours of DMC floss on my tag, 156, 157, and white. I used all 6 threads for the cross stitches, and 3 threads for backstitching around the stitched image. The sentiment is from the Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set.

I did something a little different on my next tag, instead of stitching an image, I stitched a background. I used DMC Floss 321 and 3347 to create a diagonal design. I finished off the stitching with a silver thread frame. The sweet little image is from the new Happy Pawlidays stamp set, I stamped it on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I coloured it with Copics.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the gorgeous creations the MFT Design Team has to share with you today.

  2. Thanks for the inspiration and for MFT to make it easier to cross stitch.

Great way to combine 2 hobbies. I gave up cross stitch because of arthritis but discovered that doing it on heavy cardstock it is easier on your "off" hand. I'm back in the game.
