I have a couple of projects to share with you today, they both feature one of my favorite products from this release, the Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics. I have enjoyed cross-stitching since I was very young, and I usually have at least one project going at any given time. I love when I can combine a couple of hobbies into one project.
I used a couple of colours of DMC floss on my tag, 156, 157, and white. I used all 6 threads for the cross stitches, and 3 threads for backstitching around the stitched image. The sentiment is from the Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set.
I did something a little different on my next tag, instead of stitching an image, I stitched a background. I used DMC Floss 321 and 3347 to create a diagonal design. I finished off the stitching with a silver thread frame. The sweet little image is from the new Happy Pawlidays stamp set, I stamped it on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I coloured it with Copics.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration and for MFT to make it easier to cross stitch.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to combine 2 hobbies. I gave up cross stitch because of arthritis but discovered that doing it on heavy cardstock it is easier on your "off" hand. I'm back in the game.
Gorgeous tags! I am especially inspired by the stitched background!
